Principal AI Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; travel to the Chattanooga, Tennessee headquarters is required for final interviews. Candidates living in New York, New Jersey, California, or Massachusetts are not eligible.

What you will do

• Develop target-state cloud architectures and define enterprise platform strategies for AI and cloud solutions.
• Provide cloud architecture and infrastructure engineering expertise to IT, business, product, architecture, software engineering, and infrastructure teams.
• Translate technical requirements into business requirements and communicate risks to stakeholders at business and engineering levels.
• Create and present high-level and low-level designs, diagrams, workflows, and architectural documentation.
• Partner with Reliability Engineering to implement cloud monitoring tools and support problem solving, troubleshooting, and Level 3 engineering.
• Lead work across design, implementation, cutover, hypercare, and operational transition.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, and software engineering experience.
• Experience establishing enterprise cloud strategy and architecture and leading large-scale Azure, AWS, or GCP migrations.
• Experience with cloud application modernization, automation, enterprise network design, segmentation, encryption, logging, and monitoring.
• Experience with firewalls, network authentication controls, and Linux or Windows operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or Ansible, Git-based tools, and cloud security architectures.
