What you will do

• Design and execute performance benchmarks to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop tools for automated regression triage and ML-based capacity planning.
• Evaluate design alternatives and prototype performance enhancements for distributed components.
• Analyze customer usage patterns to provide actionable recommendations for engineering teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance, cost, and time-to-market.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience.
• Strong foundation in operating systems, data structures, and standard programming practices.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML techniques to performance engineering.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, shell).
• Understanding of performance tradeoffs in multi-tenant, elastic cloud environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Systems programming experience in C.
• Experience working with Jupyter notebooks for data analysis.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML workloads and their impact on cloud storage.
