Cost Consultant (Construction Management)

Cost Consultant (Construction Management): Reviewing and verifying project documentation and budgets for loan monitoring with an accent on independent cost-to-complete forecasting and risk identification. Location: Hybrid (Must be based in Montreal or Toronto, Canada)

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 CAD

What you will do

• Review and verify project-related documentation and contracts to ensure accuracy.
• Establish and track project budgets, including costs incurred and forecasts for cost-to-complete.
• Conduct monthly construction site visits to review contractor and subcontractor progress claims.
• Act as an independent interface between lenders and developers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop detailed cash flow projections, summaries, and in-depth monthly reporting.
• Process payment certifications in compliance with the Provincial Lien Act.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in loan and project monitoring.
• Strong understanding of RICS Project Monitoring guidelines and standards.
• Working knowledge of the Provincial Lien Act and CCDC standard contract conditions.
• Must be based in Montreal, Quebec or Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Nice to have

• Certification in LEED, RICS/PQS, and/or AEECQ.
