Salary: $167,800 – $209,700 USD / $176,100 – $198,200 CAD

What you will do

• Advise on payment rails, product launches, and regulatory complexity to support a broad portfolio of initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, Risk, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Support the expansion of payment capabilities and the development of a nationally chartered bank.
• Collaborate with AML Advisory and Sanctions teams on financial crimes compliance and risk posture.
• Create scalable frameworks and legal guidance to improve organizational consistency.
• Implement AI tools in legal workflows to drive operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 4+ years of legal experience.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience supporting fintechs, banks, payment companies, or regulators with payments/AML exposure.
• Strong knowledge of payments regulatory frameworks and familiarity with BSA/AML and sanctions requirements.
• Working knowledge of AI use cases within legal or financial services.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.
