Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Remote; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

Base salary: $142,900–$207,200 USD, plus bonus eligibility and equity

What you will do

• Build and ship ML and GenAI systems across the lifecycle from research to production, including anomaly detection models, LLM-powered analyst tools, and agentic workflows.
• Develop metrics and models that surface threats in customer environments.
• Communicate the rationale, results, successes, and failures of data science work to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, service delivery, and subject matter experts to make AI and ML capabilities deployable, monitorable, and maintainable.
• Evaluate prompt engineering, knowledge retrieval, grounding, and agentic AI alongside classical ML approaches.
• Mentor data scientists and non-data-science colleagues while contributing to experimentation and continuous learning.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional data science experience building and shipping production models.
• Strong knowledge of traditional ML, including classification, regression, anomaly detection, clustering, and time series, using frameworks such as scikit-learn or statsmodels.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, and LLM application architectures involving knowledge retrieval and grounding, including embeddings-based search and vector stores.
• Experience building or contributing to LLM-powered agentic systems with tool use and orchestration using LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, including pandas, numpy, plotly, seaborn, or matplotlib.
• Solid statistical foundations in distributions, hypothesis testing, and probability, with judgment about when simpler models are appropriate.
• Strong collaboration and requirements-gathering skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to find meaningful patterns in large, chaotic datasets.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity domain experience, including anomaly detection, threat hunting, or risk scoring.
