What you will do

  • Lead operations for training and technical assistance (TTA) engagements for entities receiving CDBG-DR funding.
  • Direct cross-functional teams of subject matter experts and trainers to build capacity for TA recipients.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between TA recipients and HUD.
  • Coordinate the delivery of trainings on regulatory and grant-specific requirements and compliance.
  • Oversee product development work plans to ensure high-quality creation of tools and materials.
  • Manage project schedules, staffing, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working directly with CDBG-DR programs.
  • Minimum 2 years of project and personnel management experience.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and community development implementation at state or local levels.
  • Must be based in the continental US.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Direct experience managing CDBG-DR programs at a grantee or consulting firm.
  • Experience with multifamily developers, housing authorities, and affordable housing.
  • Experience with hazard mitigation and resilience strategies.
