TL;DR
Data Engineer (Data & Analytics): Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support data-driven initiatives with an accent on Databricks, SQL, and Python. Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, data quality, and the development of robust data platform architecture.
Location: Must be based in Lisbon, Portugal. This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

What you will do
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models for business intelligence tools.
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines for efficient data collection, transformation, and delivery.
- Implement systems to monitor and ensure data quality and integrity across production sources.
- Design data integrations and quality frameworks while applying data governance principles.
- Partner with engineering teams to define long-term data platform architecture strategies.
- Document technical designs and best practices to support team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelors or MS in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering or software development.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and ETL tools like Azure Data Factory or SSIS.
- 2+ years of SQL/PLSQL development experience.
- Proficiency in Python or R.
- Must be able to work onsite in Lisbon at least three days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with big data frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and data warehousing concepts.
