Data Engineer (GCP)

What you will do

• Develop scalable data warehousing and ETL solutions across cloud and on-premise platforms.
• Build data solutions in GCP using Python and SQL, as well as SQL Server using SSIS and T-SQL.
• Translate business requirements into estimates and end-to-end technical designs.
• Apply data warehouse development practices, including code and configuration management and build processes.
• Work in Agile delivery models and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments across data platforms.

Requirements

• Development experience with data warehousing at scale in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data warehouse architecture, data modelling, and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Experience with GCP, Python, SQL, SQL Server, SSIS, and T-SQL.
• Ability to collaborate with team members on solution estimation and design.
• Strong written and verbal communication, logical thinking, ownership, and ability to work with ambiguity.
• Commitment to quality, continuous learning, and delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Insurance industry experience.
• Experience with BI reporting tools, ideally Power BI.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
• Ability to architect highly scalable distributed systems using different tools.
