TL;DR
Sustainability Reporting Specialist (ESG/Reporting): Lead accurate, audit-ready ESG and sustainability reporting across a UK-wide organisation with an accent on ESG data governance, regulatory disclosures, and compliance assurance. Focus on building reporting processes during integration, generating insights from ESG data for strategic decisions, and monitoring evolving ESG regulations and external ratings submissions.
Location: Eastleigh, hybrid working (attend the Eastleigh office 1 day per month and as needed)
Salary: c. £60,000 depending on experience

What you will do
- Deliver high-quality ESG and sustainability reporting, including annual and regulatory disclosures.
- Establish and improve ESG data governance frameworks and controls for data integrity, traceability, and audit readiness.
- Develop and embed reporting processes across the business during integration and change.
- Work cross-functionally to collect ESG data and ensure effective reporting flows with stakeholders.
- Turn ESG data into meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Monitor evolving ESG regulations and drive compliance, assurance activity, and external ratings submissions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ESG/sustainability reporting, data governance, or assurance in a complex organisation with a track record of audit-ready reporting.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and voluntary ESG frameworks, including CSRD, TCFD, ISSB, and SECR.
- Knowledge of carbon emissions methodologies, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 and associated emission factors.
- Experience with ESG accounting, data management, or reporting platforms handling complex datasets.
- Familiarity with sustainability assessments, external ESG ratings, and benchmarking processes.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and influence stakeholders.
