TL;DR

Product Engineer (Mechanical): Improving and optimizing existing water management products with an accent on design, performance, cost, and quality. Focus on driving VAVE initiatives, promoting design for manufacturability, and taking technical concepts through to full production.

Location: On-site in Manitowoc, WI, 5 days/week

Salary: $61,200 - $113,600 / year

What you will do

  • Analyze existing products and subassemblies to identify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining customer value.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and supply teams to resolve issues related to design, material, and function.
  • Lead VAVE initiatives and work with suppliers to modify specifications for better manufacturability.
  • Translate customer requirements into tangible product functionality.
  • Maintain advanced technical knowledge to provide leadership within the company and the served markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must be based in or able to work on-site in Manitowoc, WI, 5 days/week.
  • Proven track record of taking a concept to production on-time and on-budget.
  • Ability to drive projects independently using fact-based problem solving and sound judgment.
  • Availability to travel approximately 10-15% for domestic and international business needs.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with regulatory or certifying agencies such as UL, NSF, or IEC.
  • Basic understanding of Intellectual Property law, including patents and claims search.
