Engineering Staff I (Civil Engineering)

What you will do

• Provide technical planning and design support for storm and sanitary sewer collection systems, water distribution, and other civil engineering projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, construction plans, specifications, and public bid documentation.
• Develop construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and prepare preliminary project cost estimates and quantity evaluations.
• Assist with permit submittals and review the scope, budget, and schedule of project tasks.
• Document design changes and project communications.
• Conduct site inspections and attend client, public, project, and staff meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 0–3 years of experience in civil-site and municipal engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• Ability to support projects at the Mentor, Ohio location and conduct on-site inspections as needed.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS software.
