What you will do

• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow analysis.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts with operational teams.
• Provide financial analysis and business partnering to support project reviews and contract profitability.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and statutory obligations including VAT and CIS.
• Maintain and optimize the Business Central ERP system and develop automated reporting tools.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Dartford, UK.
• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a management accounting role.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries.
• Proficiency with Business Central ERP, Power Query, or Jet Reports.
• Knowledge of CIS and subcontractor accounting.
• Experience with finance transformation or systems implementation.
