What you will do
- Build and maintain Java 21 applications for data retrieval via APIs and web scraping.
- Reverse-engineer websites to extract structured data.
- Monitor data quality and system uptime using Grafana and Kibana dashboards.
- Develop internal tools to improve data collection and processing efficiency.
- Take ownership of work while receiving guidance and mentoring from experienced developers.
- Grow through a structured development path with hands-on projects and peer collaboration.
Requirements
- Solid Java fundamentals with a focus on OOP, data structures, and basic algorithms.
- Understanding of HTTP protocols, requests, responses, and status codes.
- Ability to read and apply technical documentation.
- Curious, analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems independently.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills.
- English: Good written and spoken skills required.
- Location: Must be based in Bucharest, Romania.
Nice to have
- Academic, personal, or internship Java projects.
- Knowledge of anti-bot measures such as captchas, rate limiting, and fingerprinting.
- Familiarity with HTTP client libraries, WebSocket libraries, or browser automation tools.
- Exposure to messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Basic experience with Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs.
- Interest in using AI/ML tools to automate processes or an interest in sports betting.
