What you will do

• Own the observability, monitoring, and alerting of production database clusters and replication topologies.
• Optimize database engine configurations for performance, stability, compliance, and security.
• Design scalable database schemas and implement advanced scaling strategies including sharding and partitioning.
• Triage critical production database incidents and establish long-term preventative engineering solutions.
• Build cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to automate deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with software teams on complex migrations, schema reviews, and query optimization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or software engineering.
• Expertise in AWS and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or CDK).
• Proficiency in Python or Golang for automation and tool integration.
• Strong experience with Linux, Docker, and container orchestrators (Kubernetes, ECS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.) and observability platforms (Datadog, New Relic).
• Must be based in Poland.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data streaming or ETL architectures such as Kafka or Confluent Cloud.
• Demonstrated history of self-initiated technical ventures or deep community involvement.
