What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable, code-based data pipelines for processing and moving large datasets between systems.
• Design and own reproducible cloud environments and infrastructure as code (IaC) on Azure, focusing on security and scalability.
• Develop data architecture and processing flows, minimizing reliance on drag-and-drop tooling.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, metrics, and automated validation checks to ensure data trustworthiness.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to translate technical requirements into production-grade capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve root causes of data quality and integration issues.

Requirements

• Solid experience in data engineering and ELT, specifically building maintainable pipelines written in code.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in distributed processing using Spark.
• Expertise in Azure cloud technologies, including Databricks and Synapse/Fabric.
• Strict adherence to software engineering practices: Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Ability to take ownership and collaborate effectively within an international team.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Helsinki, Finland.

Nice to have

• Experience with procurement, ERP, or accounting data domains.
• Knowledge of analytics engineering and version-controlled transformations (e.g., dbt).
• Experience with privacy-preserving analytics and anonymized datasets.
• Familiarity with C# or YAML.
