Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom; hybrid and flexible working from the Edinburgh office

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance core banking modules.
• Develop change requests and provide support for live clients.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Design technically sound, high-quality and maintainable solutions, investigate bugs, and improve products.
• Own code components, develop subject matter expertise, and contribute to product improvements.
• Estimate work packages and collaborate with Product and Parameterization subject matter experts.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience as a software developer.
• Detailed and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues from different backgrounds and skill sets.
• Motivation to develop technical skills and understand business needs.
• SQL or PL/SQL expertise is an advantage.
