Lead Java Developer (C/Asterisk)

Location: Remote B2B contracting or onsite/hybrid employment in Belarus or Moldova; office locations include Warsaw, Minsk, Chișinău, Belgrade, and Bucharest

What you will do

• Build and scale a cloud PBX solution based on Asterisk.
• Implement SIP proxy features using Java, C, and Asterisk with high availability and scalability.
• Own the software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through coding, deployment, and maintenance.
• Analyze stack traces, crashes, memory issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement Asterisk patches, backports, enhancements, custom C modules, and dialplans.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and collaborate with product, backend, infrastructure, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of production experience with large-scale deployments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and C.
• Experience with CI/CD, cloud environments, Linux systems, networking, and system tuning.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Maven, and MySQL schema design, migrations, and query optimization.
• English at B2 level or higher and readiness to act as a technical lead.
• Experience owning code quality, engineering best practices, technical architecture, troubleshooting documentation, and cross-team delivery.
