Payroll Specialist

TL;DR

Payroll Specialist (Finance): Managing end-to-end payroll operations for North and South America with an accent on accurate data validation and regulatory compliance. Focus on auditing tax data, reconciling quarterly returns, and managing Time and Absence systems for a large workforce.

What you will do

• Process bi-weekly payroll for North America and monthly payroll for South America.
• Manage Time and Absence systems for approximately 2,800 employees.
• Handle garnishments, tax elections, and reconcile quarterly tax returns.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for payroll, benefits, and Workers’ Compensation.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, ERISA, DOL, and HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare financial files for the Accounting Department, including General Ledger and accruals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years of direct payroll experience.
• Proficiency in Workday HRIS, ADP WFN, and ADP Celergo.
• In-depth knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and IRS record retention regulations.
• Strong understanding of accounting theories and General Ledger experience.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Westlake, TX office.
