TL;DR

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA (minimum 25% office attendance)
Salary: $235,000 - $300,000 USD

What you will do
- Lead immigration due diligence for prospective acquisitions and acqui-hires to evaluate visa/green card posture and quantify risk.
- Serve as the primary immigration advisor to Corporate Development, Legal, and senior leadership throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Design and execute integration plans to ensure continuity of status for transferred foreign nationals.
- Maintain compliance with domestic and international employer obligations using E-Verify and myUSCIS.
- Build repeatable playbooks and policies to scale M&A immigration processes as the company grows.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in business immigration specifically applied to mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
- Experience with successor-in-interest analysis and status portability.
- Proven ability to manage critical, deadline-driven processes across multiple confidential transactions.
- Strong written communication skills for distilling complex legal guidance for executives and employees.
- Must be based in San Francisco, CA to comply with the hybrid office policy.
Nice to have
- 8+ years of business immigration experience with meaningful M&A exposure.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Background in scaling an immigration function from the ground up.
