Systems Engineer (Azure)

Systems Engineer (Azure Infrastructure): Building and automating production infrastructure for a global legal AI platform with an accent on scalability, reliability, and multi-region availability. Location: Must be based in Canada (EST/AST time zones), excluding Quebec. Candidates local to the Toronto hub are expected to be in office twice per week.

Salary: $116,500 – $157,500 CAD

What you will do

• Build tools and automate processes to support production infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to solve cross-disciplinary architectural scaling challenges.
• Partner with product feature teams to define requirements and implement infrastructure for new product launches.
• Share knowledge across the department to level up technical understanding and improve processes.

Requirements

• Experience building and supporting highly available, multi-region production infrastructure.
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and collaborative code for scalable infrastructure.
• Experience deploying, securing, and scaling Kubernetes clusters with a focus on automation and observability.
• Experience administering and optimizing cloud resources (preferably Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Must be based in EST/AST time zones, excluding Quebec.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in C# or another Object Oriented language.
• Experience with Azure resources using Terraform or Pulumi.
• Experience with AKS clusters in production.
• Knowledge of Azure CLI or PowerShell.
• Experience building observability dashboards with tools like DataDog.
• Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, or ElasticSearch.
