Location: Hybrid (Melbourne / Canberra / Sydney). Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.

Salary: Base A$170,000–210,000, Total Target A$240,000–300,000 plus superannuation.

What you will do

• Build and execute the go-to-market and account strategy for the Australian market.
• Develop trusted relationships with federal and state bodies, including DCCEEW, BoM, MDBA, and CEWH.
• Coordinate international workstreams covering regulatory, legal, and customs requirements for regional operations.
• Recruit and lead the first in-country team and create scalable expansion playbooks.
• Represent the company in ministerial meetings, industry forums, and national media.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in business development, government affairs, commercial sales, or strategy.
• Proven track record of building new markets from zero, including first contracts and regulatory clearances.
• Strong existing relationships in water, environment, agriculture, or infrastructure sectors.
• Experienced public communicator capable of handling panels and national media.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency with full working rights.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and willingness to travel frequently.

• Deep fluency in Australian water markets and policy.
• Experience crafting and closing novel, complex contracts.
• Scientific literacy in meteorology, hydrology, or related fields.
