What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end strategy, planning, and delivery of large-scale AI dataset development programs.
• Drive alignment across ML engineers, GIS engineers, technical artists, and infrastructure teams.
• Manage strategic vendor relationships, including onboarding, quality assurance, and throughput planning.
• Define annotation standards, quality metrics, and data governance practices for high-quality datasets.
• Partner with engineering to improve annotation platforms, automation, and data infrastructure.
• Ensure data collection and governance adhere to privacy, security, and responsible AI standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading large-scale technical programs in AI/ML or data infrastructure.
• Proven success managing complex, cross-functional programs with executive stakeholders.
• Knowledge of geospatial data types (rasters, 3D point clouds) and formats (COG, OSM, GeoJSON).
• Comfort with ML workflows, supervised learning, and data quality management.
• Proficiency with Unix command line, Git, and database management.
• Technical background in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience managing offshore, cross-time zone distributed annotation teams.
• Familiarity with AWS and ETL orchestration.
• Agile or Scrum certifications.
• Experience mentoring TPMs or leading TPM organizations.
• Experience building operational metrics and executive reporting dashboards.
