TL;DR
PR and Communications Specialist (Insurance): Executing integrated marketing and PR strategies for reinsurance and insurance divisions with an accent on brand elevation and stakeholder relationships. Focus on translating complex technical insurance concepts into compelling market-ready messaging and managing media relations.
Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or near Warren, NJ or New York, NY (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 annually

What you will do
- Execute integrated marketing and PR strategies across insurance and reinsurance segments.
- Develop key messaging and positioning statements in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Manage media relations, including pitching stories and preparing executives for interviews.
- Create high-quality content such as white papers, thought leadership pieces, and website copy.
- Oversee social media strategy and content calendars for professional B2B platforms.
- Track and report on PR metrics and campaign performance to provide strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of professional experience in PR or communications, preferably in financial services or B2B sectors.
- Proven track record in media relations and journalist relationship management.
- Ability to translate technical (re)insurance information into accessible content.
- Experience managing B2B social media strategy and content creation.
- Proficiency with marketing tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Canva, or Adobe Suite.
- Must be able to work hybridly from Warren, NJ or New York, NY offices.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance industry dynamics and terminology.
- Experience in reputation management.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or Journalism.
