What you will do

• Define and execute functional validation plans for CPU internals and system-level features.
• Apply hardware and software tools to ensure validation coverage and meet performance, power, and area targets.
• Perform silicon debug to identify root causes and resolve functional failures.
• Develop validation infrastructure, including performance monitors, behavioral checkers, and test environments.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, and platform teams to improve debug strategies and methodologies.
• Engage in all phases of the product life cycle, including simulation, emulation, and FPGA environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in pre-silicon verification or front-end design.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
• Experience with hardware description languages like System Verilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
• Must be able to work on-site in Folsom, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with computer architecture and microarchitecture.
• Knowledge of x86 core architecture and instruction sets.
• Experience with coverage-driven validation and UVM/OVM methodologies.
• Background in IP/SOC ASIC validation.
