TL;DR

Test & Validation Engineer (Drivetrain Controls): Contributing to the design and development of transmission and torque converter control systems for hauling, cycling, and oil & gas applications with an accent on hardware and controls optimization. Focus on planning and executing on-machine software calibration, designing clutch control strategies, and performing system simulations.

Location: Onsite 5 days a week in Mossville, IL. Domestic relocation and VISA sponsorship are NOT available.

Salary: $97,530.00 - $146,290.00

What you will do

• Collaborate with design, development, and software engineers to optimize hardware and controls for powershift transmissions.
• Plan and execute on-machine control software calibration and validation.
• Manage control system requirements, specifications, and design reviews.
• Design clutch control strategies to meet drivetrain performance and durability targets.
• Perform simulations and analyze data to optimize controls performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or materials science.
• Extensive knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques, and tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills for technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in project management and effective technical communication.
• Must have existing US work authorization; VISA sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with controls development tools and processes, specifically for powershift transmissions.
• Willingness to work in varied environments including fields, shops, and labs.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery (training provided).
