What you will do

• Provide daily technical support for production operations with a focus on automation, controls, and equipment uptime.
• Troubleshoot failures in robotics and control systems, identifying and implementing effective counter-measures.
• Design and execute projects for process quality improvements, equipment refurbishment, and line rate increases.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, including drawings, manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance associates for root cause analysis and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent technical diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation controls.
• Proficiency in Control Logix PLC programming, Fanuc Robotics, and HMI/VFD systems.
• Strong technical aptitude with industrial electrical system regulations and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work on rotational shifts, including midnights.

Nice to have

• Experience working within a unionized manufacturing operation.
• Knowledge of GM Global Controls Standards (GCCH-1, GCCS-2, GRS).
• A3 Vision Certified Professional.
