What you will do
- Operationalize data stewardship standards and maintain the Data Stewardship Standard Handbook.
- Manage metadata and classification for core property data fields to ensure assets are findable and trustworthy.
- Define and govern the global ontology for appraisal data concepts to ensure consistent semantic interpretation.
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to design clarification layers within the semantic framework for AI-readiness.
- Advise Product and Engineering teams on the fitness-for-use of appraisal data assets based on quality, lineage, and metadata.
- Lead the Center of Excellence (CoE) to democratize governance functions across Product, Operations, and Data Science.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States
- 5-7 years of experience in appraisal data domains (Assessor, Appraisal, Transactions) within financial, insurance, or real estate sectors.
- Proven experience supporting data governance standards and proficiency with platforms like Collibra.
- Expertise in metadata management and the ability to act as an arbiter between technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong systemic thinking and ability to translate technical output into business impact.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience using LLMs, generative AI, and advanced analytics for process optimization.
- Background in developing and implementing data ontologies for semantic layers.
