Data Governance Analyst (Metadata)

TL;DR

Data Governance Analyst (Metadata): Supporting the evolution of metadata services and data governance capabilities within a large-scale insurance environment with an accent on Collibra and Databricks Unity Catalog tooling. Focus on enabling trusted data and AI products, coaching stakeholders, and translating governance solutions into tangible business value.

Location: Must be based in the UK. Hybrid working with travel to hirify.global offices in Eastleigh as required.

What you will do

• Support the planning and delivery of the metadata roadmap.
• Develop and enhance capabilities within Collibra and Unity Catalog.
• Collaborate with Data Owners and Stewards to improve data quality and governance outcomes.
• Promote the value of metadata tooling through demonstrations and coaching.
• Identify opportunities for process automation within data governance workflows.
• Connect business context to technical metadata management processes.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK.
• Strong understanding of data governance best practices and metadata management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a data governance role within the Financial Sector.
• Hands-on experience with Collibra or similar tools (Informatica, Atacama, Alation).
• Awareness of Databricks Unity Catalog.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
