What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend services for pricing, rate engines, and billing integrations.
• Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Partner with Product, Finance, and Data teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Lead architectural decisions and uphold engineering best practices regarding code quality and performance.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers to foster technical excellence and team growth.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term preventive solutions for pricing APIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend systems.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with pricing, billing, payments, or financial systems.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C# for building production-grade systems.
• Strong experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and API design (REST/gRPC).
