What you will do

• Design and build highly reliable, testable Python systems to support trading operations.
• Lead complex engineering projects across multiple systems and international teams.
• Collaborate with business development and sales teams to innovate new products and features.
• Provide technical mentorship to developers and lead debugging of complicated operational problems.
• Participate in production support rotas and contribute to incident management and post-mortem analyses.
• Engage in R&D projects to identify and implement new technologies.

Requirements

• Expert Python knowledge and a commitment to writing testable, maintainable code.
• Strong proficiency with advanced SQL techniques and deep Linux knowledge.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Must be able to work from the office four days per week in London or Amsterdam.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in financial areas such as market data, order management, or algorithmic trading is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with TDD, BDD, or other testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Django, Flask, FastAPI, Apache Kafka, or Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Java.
