What you will do

• Partner with engineering teams to optimize the SDLC for speed, safety, and reliability.
• Deploy AI tools like Claude Code and build agents to augment on-call responses and automate bug triage.
• Administer the GCP and GKE environments, managing Terraform, networking, and security best practices.
• Set standards for Kubernetes deployment, observability, and developer experience.
• Own observability pipelines using Prometheus and OpenTelemetry to handle billions of spans.
• Maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and the cloud-based devbox system for developers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and a major cloud provider (preferably GCP).
• Must be based in the United States (as indicated by US-specific benefits and location requirements).
• Knowledge of coding agents such as Claude Code.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Distributed Tracing.
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions and GitOps workflows.
• Expertise with Bazel and Terraform.
• Experience implementing Internal Developer Platforms like Backstage.
• Working knowledge of SRE principles and SLO implementation.
