TL;DR

Head of Optimisation & Integration (Fintech): Shaping the operating model and delivery framework for the Chief Digital Office to ensure fast, integrated execution across platforms with an accent on delivery governance and organisational efficiency. Focus on transforming delivery rhythms, workforce planning, and aligning investment with customer outcomes.

Location: Hybrid (UK). Must be based in the UK and spend at least 40% of time (2 days per week) at one of the office sites (London, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds, or Manchester).

Salary: £106,565 - £148,850

What you will do

  • Define and evolve the CDO operating model, translating strategy into practical delivery plans and scalable ways of working.
  • Drive integration and alignment across various platforms and portfolios to improve collaboration and execution.
  • Lead planning, prioritisation, and governance rhythms, including business reviews and objective setting.
  • Oversee workforce strategy, including capacity planning and capability development for future skills needs.
  • Enable senior leadership decision-making by framing risks, trade-offs, and clear recommendations.
  • Manage business operations, including investment governance, financial performance, risk, and controls.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in designing and delivering operating model transformations at scale.
  • Proven track record of optimising delivery across platforms, linking outcomes to customer impact and cost discipline.
  • Experience in strategic prioritisation and workforce planning in partnership with HR/People teams.
  • Strong expertise in governance, risk, and control within highly regulated or complex environments.
  • Ability to lead and build high-performing teams while embedding agile and continuous improvement practices.
  • Must be based in the UK to comply with hybrid office attendance requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience in digital banking, financial services, or large-scale digital transformation.
  • Expertise in embedding product-led or agile ways of working across large organisations.
  • Experience leveraging AI or automation to enhance delivery and decision-making processes.
