TL;DR
Interim VP People & Comms (People/HR): Provide senior People leadership for a 12-month FTC maternity cover, shaping and delivering the People and MarCom agenda with an accent on org design, executive hiring, and culture/engagement transformation. Focus on partnering with the CEO and Executive team to drive scalable People processes, lead change initiatives, and deliver a compelling internal and external communications strategy.

What you will do
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive team, translating business strategy into pragmatic people plans and evolving them as the environment changes.
- Drive organisational effectiveness and transformation by reviewing org structure, roles, and accountabilities; lead scaling, integration, and restructuring initiatives.
- Own talent and leadership outcomes: oversee executive hiring, succession planning, and coaching/challenging senior leaders to build capability and performance.
- Shape culture and engagement by embedding behaviours that support ambition, accountability, and positive energy.
- Own internal and external communications and brand storytelling aligned to business priorities and culture.
- Ensure robust, scalable People processes and governance (performance, reward, employee relations), including risk/compliance oversight and improvements to People systems.
Requirements
- VP or Director-level People/HR leadership experience with a track record of leading at pace and scale.
- Experience in high-growth, transformation, or scaling environments where change is constant.
- Proven success partnering with CEOs and Boards, influencing at the highest level.
- Comfort operating in mid-sized, evolving businesses—bringing structure without overcomplicating.
- Open to candidates based out of Colchester, Essex or the Theale, Reading office.
