Senior Product Manager (Payments)

Senior Product Manager (Payments): Own the strategy and execution of the payments experience for a hospitality checkout flow with an accent on payment infrastructure complexity and delivering an invisible, reliable, intuitive payment moment. Focus on building end-to-end payment journey decisions (authorization, capture, settlement, reconciliation), driving cross-functional alignment, and improving payment performance through data-informed iteration.

What you will do

• Define and evolve a multi-quarter product strategy and roadmap for the full payments journey across restaurant checkout surfaces.
• Deeply understand payment flows and their impact on restaurant operations, from tableside server payments to end-of-day reconciliation.
• Drive principled tradeoffs across customer experience, operational complexity, technical constraints, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
• Partner with design, research, engineering, and quality to deliver integrated solutions, including collaboration with internal payments/finance/compliance/legal/support and occasional external processors and hardware partners.
• Improve payment reliability and reduce friction via retry strategies, error handling, recovery flows, and success optimization.
• Define success metrics and use data to monitor and improve authorization rates, conversion, failure rates, support burden, and end-to-end checkout experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience building complex software products with scope and ownership consistent with a senior individual contributor.
• Experience owning customer-facing or workflow-heavy product areas where reliability, usability, and business outcomes are critical.
• Strong experience in payments/fintech/commerce or another compliance-sensitive, transaction-heavy domain.
• Strong familiarity with payment processing concepts: authorization, capture, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with payment security standards and compliance requirements, and ability to translate them into product decisions.
• Experience working with external partners, vendors, or platform providers to deliver integrated solutions.
