What you will do

• Define the global art direction and visual identity for a new, unannounced IP.
• Develop a comprehensive art bible focusing on storytelling, characters, environments, and mood.
• Concept and iterate on characters, vehicles, and weapons to establish a signature visual style.
• Provide visual guidance to the art team through sketches, paint-overs, and concept art.
• Collaborate on worldbuilding to provide the foundation for all visual decisions.
• Work with stakeholders to balance project pillars with creative authorship.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Art Director, Lead Concept Artist, or Senior Concept Artist.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design work in sci-fi or futuristic genres.
• Experience in worldbuilding and visualizing new IPs from the ground up.
• Solid fundamentals in character and environment design.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid setup in Montreal, QC.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial design, specifically for robots, exosuits, and vehicles.
• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and real-time art pipelines.
