What you will do

• Define the overall art direction and visual identity for a new, unannounced IP in collaboration with creative and design leads.
• Develop a comprehensive art bible focusing on storytelling, characters, environments, factions, and mood.
• Concept and iterate on characters, vehicles, and weapons to establish a signature visual look for the project.
• Produce rapid visual guidance for artists through sketches, paint-overs, and concept art.
• Shape the project's worldbuilding as the core foundation for all visual choices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to balance high-level pillars with creative authorship.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Art Director, Lead Concept Artist, or Senior Concept Artist.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work in sci-fi or futuristic genres.
• Experience in worldbuilding or visualizing new IPs from scratch.
• Strong fundamentals in character and environment design.
• Must be based in Montreal, QC.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial design, specifically for exosuits, robots, vehicles, and weapons.
• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and real-time art pipelines.
