What you will do

• Create and refine high-quality animations in collaboration with production and leads.
• Build realistic human motion for gameplay and cinematics by editing and layering motion capture data.
• Animate props using rigging and constraint systems, including hand-key facial rigs and facial mocap polish.
• Work in the game engine and pipeline to ensure completed assets are build-ready.
• Maintain animation quality while optimizing for performance and technical constraints.
• Collaborate with software engineers on implementation, troubleshooting, and debugging of animation systems.

Requirements

• 2 to 4+ years of industry experience in 3D animation.
• Strong understanding of human body mechanics and locomotion.
• Technical proficiency with Maya or MotionBuilder.
• Experience working with motion capture data and modern game engines (Unity, Unreal, or proprietary engines).
• Familiarity with source control (Perforce or Git).
• Based in Nova Scotia; relocation support may be available for the right candidate.
