Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Must be based in Research Triangle Park, NC, USA

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance the FastAPI backend, including API routes, telemetry, and health checks.
• Develop and maintain React/TypeScript frontend components, ensuring accessibility and design-system compliance.
• Manage database-facing changes using SQLModel, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic migrations.
• Support authentication models including OIDC, session handling, and secure token validation.
• Participate in release and operations activities, including GitHub Actions workflows and incident troubleshooting.
• Document implementation decisions and integration contracts to ensure long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with production web applications.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python backend development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of API design, relational data modeling, and security-minded engineering.
• Ability to write and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and E2E tests.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA and capable of working in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure including AWS, OpenTofu, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with headless CMS integrations like Drupal.
• Knowledge of AI orchestration tools such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Experience with observability practices using Dynatrace or CloudWatch.
