TL;DR

Specialist Security, Identity & Access Engineer (Cybersecurity): Designing and implementing robust IAM and PAM controls for critical national infrastructure platforms with an accent on least privilege, secure authentication, and automated access processes. Focus on ensuring compliance with the Telecommunications Security Act (TSA) and integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines using infrastructure-as-code.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester or Ipswich; requires 3 days in office per week.

What you will do

• Design and implement IAM controls across Linux, OpenStack, and Kubernetes environments.
• Lead the deployment and operation of Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions like CyberArk.
• Define and enforce least privilege access models, RBAC, and account segmentation.
• Automate account onboarding, rotation, and decommissioning using Terraform and Ansible.
• Ensure compliance with TSA and internal security standards through audit and evidence production.
• Investigate and resolve security and access-related incidents.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for SC Clearance.
• Strong experience in Identity & Access Management or Privileged Access Management.
• Solid understanding of Linux access controls and system administration.
• Experience with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory requirements such as TSA or ISO27001.
• Must be able to work from the Manchester or Ipswich office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with network security platforms like DDoS protection or firewalls.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of certificate and secrets management.
