Senior Cyber Security Engineer (AWS)

Location: Fully remote within the UK; offices in London and Nottingham.

What you will do

• Design secure solutions for cloud, container, and service-based architectures in partnership with Engineering, SRE, Risk, and Product.
• Define secure AWS configurations, network segmentation, identity and access controls, and secrets management.
• Strengthen application, infrastructure, runtime, and CI/CD security through hardening, vulnerability management, and automated security gates.
• Build monitoring, logging, alerting, detection, and response capabilities; lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Automate security checks, policy enforcement, and remediation using infrastructure as code, CI/CD integrations, and custom tooling.
• Embed security controls supporting regulatory, privacy, and contractual requirements across current and new markets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cyber security experience in cloud-native, DevOps, or platform engineering environments.
• Practical experience securing AWS services, IAM, networking, KMS, secrets, and managed services.
• Experience securing Kubernetes and related tooling, including runtime protection, admission controllers, and image scanning.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, and incident response.
• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD security integrations.
• Experience with Secure Web Gateways, IDP, IDS, EDR, SAST, DAST, and WAF technologies, plus scripting in Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages.
