What you will do

• Design and develop ML models for matchmaking, skill rating, and recommender systems.
• Build representation learning models to capture player skill and interaction patterns from gameplay data.
• Research and integrate state-of-the-art ML techniques into live production systems.
• Translate ambiguous product problems into well-defined machine learning tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to influence game design decisions.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in applied science or ML, including deploying models in production environments.
• Strong expertise in deep learning, representation learning, or embedding models.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and big data technologies such as Apache Spark.
• Working knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Must be based in or able to work from Dublin, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking systems, or user behavior modeling.
• Knowledge of sequence models (Transformers, RNNs), graph-based approaches, or autoencoders.
• Familiarity with AWS, containerization, and model orchestration.
• Sports analytics, predictive modeling, or NBA domain knowledge.
