Salary: $180,000 — $247,500 USD

What you will do

• Partner with sales teams to identify use cases and solve customer business problems using Databricks.
• Provide technical leadership to guide customers through the evaluation and adoption of the platform.
• Consult on big data architecture, execute proof of concepts, and validate integrations with cloud services.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-to guides, and demonstrate applications for customers.
• Promote open source projects (Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog) through community engagement.
• Travel within the assigned territory to meet with customers.

Requirements

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role, preferably working with big-data technologies.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in programming and debugging in at least one of: Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
• Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Data Engineering (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and Data Warehousing (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
• Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a similar engineering discipline.
• Must be based in the US (Central, Northeast, or East Coast).
