What you will do

• Own vision, roadmap, and execution for a broad functional area, setting technical direction and priorities.
• Design and develop cloud-native platform capabilities using open-source components such as Kubernetes, Backstage, ArgoCD, and Terraform.
• Scope work and set priorities for other team members to achieve team objectives.
• Drive high-quality implementation with best practices in code health, monitoring, frequent releases, and reliable CI.
• Collaborate with engineering on system architecture and integrations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure production products and services.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure or similar) and developer tooling such as GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Backstage.
• Strong data structures, algorithms, and system design skills with analytical and debugging ability.
• Strong communication skills for deriving requirements, articulating problem scope, and documenting system designs.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
• Experience with microservices, DevSecOps, continuous integration, and release management.
• 2+ years working in a centralized developer platform team.
• Strong developer-experience mindset with empathy for users.
