Location: Remote. Must be based in one of the 40 listed US states or reside in Ontario, Canada

What you will do
- Own the most complex modeling and architecture, including ontology objects and dimensional/semantic models (LookML).
- Translate ambiguous business needs from product and business leaders into durable technical plans.
- Align domain models with core entities to ensure consistency and interoperability across the data mesh.
- Define modeling patterns, naming conventions, and reference implementations for the analytics engineering discipline.
- Partner with domain data engineers to shape data contracts and pipelines.
- Integrate AI tools like Claude and Databricks Genie into the analytics engineering workflow.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI engineering, or data modeling.
- Deep expertise in semantic and dimensional modeling.
- Hands-on experience with ontology or object-based semantic layers (e.g., Palantir Foundry).
- Fluency in Looker/LookML for BI consumption.
- Experience with modern lakehouse platforms, specifically Databricks.
- Must be legally authorized to live and work full-time in the specified US states or Ontario, Canada.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Python and Git-based workflows.
- Experience with transformation frameworks such as SQLMesh or dbt.
- Experience with Foundry Pipeline Builder/Functions or performance tuning at scale.
