R&D Engineer Hardware (Analog Mixed-Signal)

What you will do

• Design and validate wireline high-speed analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits for data center connectivity and serial-link applications.
• Research circuit techniques that maximize speed and performance while minimizing power and area.
• Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic components, integrated circuitry, and hardware systems in a non-ASIC product environment.
• Characterize and debug analog designs for manufacturability, including circuit modeling for package and PCB requirements.
• Develop circuit test plans, conduct experiments, analyze operating data, and evaluate results.
• Collaborate with contacts across technical areas and contribute to system-level broadband communication SoC architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in Engineering and 3+ years of related experience.
• Analog circuit design expertise, including CMOS device operating regions and characteristics.
• Knowledge of common CMOS analog circuit topologies, particularly circuits operating at 1 GHz and above.
• Understanding of analog circuit trade-offs involving noise, distortion, frequency response, mismatch, bandwidth, stability, and settling limitations.
• Experience with signal processing in analog filters, analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, and feedback-controlled loops.
• Experience using simulation tools, custom layout tools, and laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Ability to work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors and independent selection of methods and evaluation criteria.
