TL;DR
Senior Lead Developer (Software Development): Building and modernising the CDSClear trade management and margining platform for credit derivative index, single name, and option products with an accent on server-side Java, Spring Boot, and scalable API functionality. Focus on delivering business requirements end-to-end through test and production releases, designing platform initiatives over 3–6+ months, and supporting regulated financial services systems including out-of-hours rota.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain CDSClear Trade Management components across the full SDLC.
- Own delivery of business requirements through test and production release.
- Collaborate on key design decisions to extend the platform and improve overall architecture.
- Lead design and development of business-facing initiatives lasting 3–6+ months.
- Provide third-line system support, including participation in an out-of-hours rota.
Requirements
- Server-side Java development experience with Spring Boot.
- Enterprise software engineering experience in secure and regulated environments.
- Ability to understand and implement changes in the clearing and trade management stack, including testing.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and software architecture principles.
- Experience with CI/CD and quality-focused delivery using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab, JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
- Knowledge of JMS and experience with ActiveMQ or IBM MQ.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with credit derivative products.
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS) and cloud deployment automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Monitoring experience with enterprise tools such as DataDog.
