What you will do

• Develop, test, and support backend software components and services to deliver reliable production solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand requirements, break down work, and ship well-scoped features and improvements.
• Write clean, maintainable, modular code with appropriate tests, observability, and documentation.
• Build and maintain services and APIs at scale, focusing on performance, resilience, and long-term maintainability.
• Debug applications and investigate issues in production and non-production environments until problems are resolved.
• Identify inefficiencies in existing systems and propose practical improvements to raise engineering quality over time.

Requirements

• Solid programming skills and strong software engineering fundamentals (OOP, data structures, algorithms, clean coding).
• Professional experience building software in a team environment with modern practices (version control, code reviews, testing, iterative delivery).
• Experience building, maintaining, or supporting production applications, ideally in cloud environments such as AWS.
• Comfort working with moderately complex systems and understanding how services, APIs, data stores, and integrations fit together.
• Ownership mindset: test and monitor changes and build reliable, scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Experience with JVM languages such as Java or Kotlin is helpful; distributed systems and service-based architectures are a strong advantage.
