Engineering Manager (Data Quality)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Mossville, Illinois or Irving, Texas, United States. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $147,760–$240,110 per year

What you will do

• Lead the data quality strategy for connected asset data across enterprise platforms and products.
• Establish data quality frameworks, rules, KPIs, monitoring, validation, and anomaly detection solutions.
• Embed automated quality controls into pipelines, APIs, platform architecture, CI/CD, and data lifecycle processes.
• Drive AI/ML adoption for data profiling, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis.
• Lead and develop data quality engineers and analysts through coaching and people management.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, product, platform, telecom, architecture, and governance teams to support releases, resolve defects, and communicate quality risks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering, including 2–5 years in leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and automated testing and validation frameworks.
• Strong experience in data quality, data governance, data engineering ecosystems, data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Knowledge of software development, SDLC, software architecture, quality assurance, and testing.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; the role requires onsite work five days per week in Mossville or Irving.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML-based data quality monitoring.
• Familiarity with Kafka, streaming data platforms, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in regulated industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or finance environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps for data platforms.
