TL;DR
Senior User Support Specialist (Microsoft Windows/Active Directory): Setting up and operating end-user support programs, training users on enterprise and litigation-support applications, and providing onsite Tier I–II technical support with an accent on Windows administration, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and courtroom technology. Focus on configuring secure federal IT environments, troubleshooting persistent hardware and software issues, deploying applications, and supporting courtroom proceedings.

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, United States; full-time onsite

What you will do

  • Set up and operate end-user support programs for major applications and government projects.
  • Develop, schedule, and deliver user training for databases, office automation, workflow, groupware, and litigation-support applications.
  • Provide help desk, Tier I, and Tier II support for hardware, software, peripherals, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft 365.
  • Manage Active Directory users, security groups, permissions, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, patching, vulnerability remediation, and Windows Server environments.
  • Deploy software through Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and maintain IT asset and configuration documentation.
  • Support trial preparation and courtroom proceedings, including electronic exhibits, audio/video formatting, and courtroom hardware and software troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience teaching or training users on computer applications.
  • At least 1 year of experience with the specific applications being supported.
  • Hands-on familiarity with networks, telecommunications, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Expertise with government word-processing, spreadsheet, and email systems; DOJ office automation experience is helpful.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • An undergraduate degree is strongly preferred; supervisory experience is helpful.
