TL;DR

Junior User Support Specialist (Electronics): Providing technical support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and mobile device management for a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard program with an accent on resolving network and connectivity issues. Focus on documenting tickets in ServiceNow, managing mobile equipment, and ensuring high-quality customer service within established SLAs.

Location: Must be based in St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)

Salary: $17–$27 Hourly

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support and mobile equipment administration.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for end-users.
  • Document and log all support requests and resolutions in the trouble ticketing system.
  • Route complex tickets to Tier 2 or higher support teams when necessary.
  • Install and configure software while maintaining internal procedures and FAQs.
  • Guide users through product and system usage to ensure successful resolution.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and familiarity with mobile devices (iPhones/iPads).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tickets simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School diploma with 0–3 years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification (e.g., A+ CE, Network+ CE).
  • Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Coast Guard enterprise service desk environments.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow (SNOW) or equivalent enterprise ticketing software.
